HIRA Goals

Primary Goals for Training on Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment

Identify up to 3 primary areas you want to focus on during Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training. The goals should be challenging (so you remain committed) and achievable (realistic). To help you, try answering the question:

“How specifically would you like YOU, or PEOPLE, or PERFORMANCE, to be different after training?”

For each focus area, write a simple heading, and do your best to describe “measurable” results. That is, how you will know you have succeeded or are on track. For example:

GOALS:

  1. YOU:

Conduct continuous hazard identification and risk assessment within a workplace.

  1. PEOPLE:

Conduct continuous hazard identification and risk assessment within a workplace.

  1. PERFORMANCE:
  • Safe working environment.
  • Maximum output.
  • Minimum operating costs
  • Teamwork
  • Tools and equipment available.

I’ll know I have succeeded when:

I have been trained, assessed, and found competent in the above goal.

We all go home safe after every shift.

At least 90% of projects are completed.
