Incident Investigations Goals

Primary Goals for Being Trained on Incident Investigations Skills

Identify up to 3 primary areas you want to focus on during Incident Investigation Skills Training. The goals should be challenging (so you remain committed) and achievable (realistic). To help you, try answering the question:

“How specifically would you like YOU, or PEOPLE, or PERFORMANCE, to be different after training?”

For each focus area, write a simple heading, and do your best to describe “measurable” results. That is, how you will know you have succeeded or are on track. For example:

GOALS:

  1. YOU:

Conduct an investigation into workplace incidents.

  1. PEOPLE:

Cooperate and assist during investigations.

  1. PERFORMANCE:

Accident scene visited to collect evidence and samples.

I’ll know I have succeeded when:

Identify the basic causes of incidents so that controls can be put in place to prevent further occurrences.

Appropriate people and eye-witnesses cooperate and assist during investigations.

All employees are trained on, “Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment”.
